We built the read most authors never get

Manucheck started with a simple observation: almost every problem that damages a self-published book is detectable before publication. Broken tables of contents, inconsistent heading styles, missing front matter, weak keywords, structural sag in the middle third, and passages that quote material they should not — none of these require a human genius to spot. They require a careful, consistent read that most authors cannot afford to commission.

So we built one. Manucheck runs six analysis passes over your manuscript, scores each one independently, and returns ranked issues with specific recommendations rather than vague encouragement. It reads the whole book, not a sample, and it produces the same quality of review on your first title as on your fiftieth.

We made two deliberate design decisions. The first is bring-your-own-key: your manuscript is processed under your own OpenAI account, so there is no shared model pool, no per-word markup, and no ambiguity about whose terms govern your text. The second is mandatory deletion: every uploaded manuscript is permanently removed seven days after upload, whether you ask for it or not.
