Connect your OpenAI key
Manucheck runs on your own OpenAI API key. It is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage and never displayed again after you save it.

Upload your manuscript
Drag and drop DOCX, PDF, EPUB or TXT. We validate the file, show upload progress and store it in an encrypted private bucket.

Text extraction
The document is parsed into clean text. Formatting signals — chapter headings, front matter, back matter — are preserved for the structural pass.

Multi-pass AI analysis
Writing, publishing readiness, metadata and risk are reviewed against the current KDP guidance ruleset, stamped with its policy version.

Report generation
You get scores per category, ranked issues, concrete recommendations and a pre-publication checklist you can print or export to PDF.

Automatic deletion
On day 5 we remind you. On day 7 the original file, extracted text and processing cache are permanently deleted. The report stays.
